Today we pause to remember Fire Police Lieutenant John Lackovic.

Lieutenant Lockovic died suddenly just hours after responding to a crash July 11, 2011.

A Native of Chester County, John began is firefighting career in Coatesville before earning his degree in Fire Engineering from the University of Maryland. John utilized his degree as a Fire Marshall in Chesterfield VA before returning to Chester County and joining VFVFCO.

Today, his memory is gilded at the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial in Emmitsburg MD.
