"Please note, our annual fund drive request is by letter only. We do not solicit any donations by telephone so please be cautious about telephone calls soliciting funds for your local fire company. In addition we do not employ a telemarketer to handle our fund drive. All efforts are handled by our volunteers except for the printing of our letter and the bulk mailing process."

Dear Friends and Neighbors:

Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Company, Station 68, would like to thank everyone for the support that you have provided in the past. We are asking for you to continue the support for the fire company to help us provide the best level of protection for your property and family.

The firefighters, rescue personnel, fire police and support personnel are committed to providing the community with professional emergency service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. In 2010 the company responded to 369 calls, while remaining 100% Volunteer. In addition to time spent on calls the members spend many hours in training and drilling to keep up with skills and knowledge. Volunteers also spend time working at community events, conducting fire prevention, fund raising, and maintaining the equipment, buildings and grounds of the fire company’s two stations.

We are always looking for new members; junior members can start as young as 14 years old. If you don’t think that actual fire fighting is for you, there are many other ways to volunteer and help out. For more information you may call us at 610-933-3388.
