House Fire in East Vincent
by Firefighter Paul Staley
Friday December 27, 2012

East Vincent Twp, Pa. - Shortly after lunch on Dec 27th the VFVFCo was dispatched to assist Ridge Fire Co station 62 on a working dwelling fire on Ellis Woods Road in East Vincent Township. Ellis Woods  Command had requested an engine and manpower due to the weather and stubborn fire conditions. Engine 68-1 quickly made the response with a crew of 6 interior qualified firefighters. Once on scene Valley Forge crews were assigned to fire suppression and eventually overhaul, once the fire was placed under control. 68 crews were released and returned to station around 3pm to clean and place equipment back in service for the next emergency.

Companies on scene: Ridge, Kimberton, Liberty, Ludwig’s Corner, Valley Forge, Royersford and Linfield Fire Companies
