Overturned Vehicle on State Rd.
by Rafael Henin, Fire Captain
Thursday, January 12, 2012

VALLEY FORGE, PA - On Thursday January 12, 2012 at 11:49pm, the Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Company (Station 68) was dispatched for an accident on State Rd (RT 29), south of E. Pothouse Rd.  Assistant Chief 68 (Taylor) was first onscene and reported a vehicle flipped over on its roof and blocking the roadway.  The two occupants of the vehicle had gotten out of their car on their own.  Fire Police closed down Rt. 29 as 68 crews worked to safety the vehicle and clear the roadway of debris and fluids from the car.   The two occupants from the vehicle were taken to a local hospital and the road was re-opened by 12:29am.  This was the 5th emergency call of the day for the volunteer firefighters at Valley Forge.
