Firefighters Practice Skills at Car Fire Training
by Erik Muhlenhaupt FF/EMT
Monday August 15, 2011

SCHUYLKILL TWP, PA - During our weekly in-house training night on Monday August 15, 2011, firefighters from Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Company got the opportunity to put their skills to the test on a car fire. Under the leadership of Captain Jay Cole and 1st Lieutenant Rafael Henin, crews took turns manning the nozzle and backing each other up while practicing the tactics of extinguishing car fires. Conducted multiple times a year, this drill also afforded our driver/operators a chance to practice pumping techniques to make sure we are always ready to handle any emergency!
