Accident with Fire on Pothouse Rd.

4 people were injured Tuesday afternoon as a result of a box truck colliding with a car in the 600 block of Potthouse road. Initial reports reports at the time of dipatch indicated that two vehicles were involved and a box truck was on fire.

Micu 67 (West End Ambulance) was the first on scene confirming a box truck fully involved in fire with multiple patients. Engines 68-1 and 2 arrived a short time later and began extinguishment of the fire as well as patient care. Additional manpower was requested from Kimberton Fire Company to assist in suppression and overhaul of the vehicle.
In all, 4 people were treated for their injuries at local hospitals. Fire Police from Valley Forge and Kimberton closed the roadway for about two and a half hours to allow for clean-up.
