68 Responds to Working Fire in Phoenixville
by Assistant Chief Evan Taylor
April 22, 2009

Just before midnight on April 20th, Phoenixville, Kimberton, and Valley Forge Fire Companies were dispatched to the 600 block of Nutt road for a dwelling fire. Engine 67-1 arrived quickly after dispatch and reported heavy fire showing. While Phoenixville crews worked out front, Valley Forge and Kimberton crews were assigned to the rear of the dwelling and tasked with securing a water supply, performing an agressive fire attack and to handle ventilation.

Additional fire companies from around the area were also requested to the scene to help extinguish the deep seated hot spots. After extensive overhaul, Valley Forge crews returned to station at approximately 3:30am.
