Structural Burn Training at Berks Fire Academy
by Assistant Chief Evan Taylor
October 7, 2008

On Saturday October 4th, members of Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Co, Phoenixville FD and Kimberton FD conducted their yearly training involving live fire. In today's society it is very difficult to conduct training with live fire. So when the opportunity presents itself, we quickly take advantage of it.

Crews traveled to the Berks County Fire Academy to take part in training exercises that focus on fire attack, ladder placement and search abilities. Everyone enjoyed a long day, some very hot fires and a great lunch. Thank you to those firefighters that organized this crucial training.
