Valley Forge assists Conshohocken
by Lieutenant Paul Staley
August 14, 2008

Shortly before 5:00pm on Wednesday August 13th, Conshohocken Boro fire departments 35 and 36 were alerted for a possible structure fire at 209 Washington St at the Millennium Condos. As reports came in to Conshohocken command they requested a 2nd and 3rd alarm be struck. On the 3rd alarm Valley Forge tanker 68 was dispatched for water supply due to the fact that the existing system could not handle the demand required for the operation. Eventually the crews went defensive and 8 alarms were struck with at least 12 master streams and numerous ground monitors in service. Tanker 68 was released around 10pm as the fire crews gained the upper hand. Crews were still on scene into the next day with companies from Berks, Lehigh, Chester and Delaware counties assisting Montgomery county units.
