Engine Stand-By During Fireworks in Phoenixville
by Assistant Chief Evan Taylor
July 8, 2008

Despite the rain and bad weather, the fireworks in Phoenixville were set off on schedule and with no incidents.  Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Company was on stand by in Phoenixville Borough with Engine 68-2 and a crew of six, just in case.  The Valley Forge crew set up camp behind the Gateway Building and was treated to free Petrucci's ice cream courtesy of New Century Bank. While the weather wasn't the best, everyone had a good time.
