Car Crashes into Steel Post at Gas Station
by Rescue Captain Julius Marosfalvi Jr.
July 2, 2008

On Friday, June 27, 2008 at 14:57, Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to an auto accident at Route 23 and Davis Rd.  Engine 68-2 was first to arrive on the scene and found a two vehicle accident where one of the vehicles appeared to have crashed into an awning support post in front of the gas station, and one driver injured.  Moments later Rescue 68 arrived on the scene followed by the ambulance, MICU 67-5 from West End Fire Company.  Firefighters assisted the ambulance crew with the removal of the patient from the vehicle.  Schuylkill Township Police was on the scene as was Brush 68 to help with traffic control duties while Engine 68-1 relocated from the sub-station to the main station as a precaution.  MICU 67-5 transported one patient to Phoenixville Hospital and all units cleared the scene at 15:40.
