Engine 68-5 was a 1980 Pierce on a White brand chassis, it is our second out engine from our substation.  “5” as we call it, was our oldest active piece of apparatus until it was retired on September 1, 2008.  68-5 was classified as a Pumper Tanker under NFPA which means that it had all of the functionality of an attack engine but carried enough water to be called a tanker (1,500 gallons or more).
